Our Story

I am the one-woman-band behind all things Salford Silver.
From the sketching of original designs, to the hours spent making. From packaging your parcels, to photography, to everything admin.
It is all lovingly curated by me, myself and I.
I started Salford Silver in September 2018, following my travels to Bali. Where my dreams and creativity were ignited by an afternoon spent in a little workshop, where I made two of my very first silver jewellery pieces.
With the incredible support of my loving family and friends, I created Salford Silver.

Im a 23-year-old, Summer baby, raised in lovely Lancashire, U.K. with my wonderful family and beautiful golden retrievers. Surrounded by the stunning and peaceful moorlands, I have a pretty idyllic home setting to allow my creativity to flow.
I have always obsessed over art and anything crafty from the youngest age, but naturally followed into a slightly more classic route of education. I now sit here with my degree in Food and Human Nutrition, but only wishing to create more beautiful jewellery.
It therefore does not surprise me or any my family that I am now pursuing my own handmade business and it makes me so genuinely happy to be able to create every single day.

I started Salford Silver in my final year of university, from my tiny bedroom in the heart of Newcastle.
Alongside developing my passion for creating beautiful jewellery, I acknowledged that people frequently buy high street pieces that often lack the love and the stories that handmade products bring.
And so, Salford Silver was born!
I aim to always source my supplies from trusted suppliers and I use ecosilver (Recycled sterling silver) where possible.
My packaging aims to always be recyclable or reusable.
Meaning the package you receive your items in may not always be the prettiest but know that we've done our bit to help the planet.
Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know more about my little business!
Love Always,
Rach  xx
